"Happy Birthday to ${you}"

Ok, I need to post a rant here. Today I turn 40. (Decimal; I'm rather upset we don't count in octal... I'd be a young 32). In my now official middle-age, I am becoming more cranky on my birthday. And it does not help that websites I've signed up for issue nice little happy birthday statements to me. I've gotten them from the following sites: Leica Forum (which told me on the 14th since it is hosted somewhere in Europe), Rangefinderforum.com, Apple & iPhone Forums, PCA Forum (not even sure what that one is), and even Facebook greeted me with an auto-generated response.

I feel I should make it my mission to find out the release dates of all of those websites, and when they turn the requisite area on the calendar, email the admins wishing them an electronic happy trip around the sun.

For the rest of you, who actually email me with human fingers, I say thank you very much, as I never remember birthdates, except for my brother (a twin), my pal at work Dmitry (same birthday) and my wife, kids and mother. Oh, and Martin Luther King, whose birthday is the most prominent and honored one we share. To you I say, "Happy Birthday to ${you}!"

That's enough information in my long-term memory. Now, where did I leave my keys?
